INTRODUCTION

With the advancement of science and technology, biomedical engineering and bioinformatics have been increasingly significant and exhibiting broad application prospects. The integration and synergistic development of the two fields not only provide new opportunities for medical research and clinical applications, but also open up new possibilities in the fields of personalized medicine, disease prediction and treatment, while promoting the wide application of genomics, proteomics, medical image processing, and biosensors.

BIBE conference series focuses on the fields of bioinformatics and biomedical engineering, aiming to provide a platform for exchanging and sharing the latest research, technological innovations, and theoretical developments, and to promote the development of the fields. The BIBE conference has attracted more than 400 delegates from China, the United States, Japan, Russia, and more countries and regions since 2016. All accepted articles of the previous conferences have gone through rigorous peer review and completed EI, Scopus inclusion.

The 7th International Conference on Biological Information and Biomedical Engineering (BIBE2024) will be held during August 13-15, 2024 in Hohhot, China. On behalf of the organizing committee of BIBE, we would like to invite experts, scholars, and researchers in related fields to submit manuscripts to the conference.

Bio: Prof. Yudong Zhang works at University of Leicester. His research interests include deep learning and medical image analysis. He is the Fellow of IET, Fellow of EAI, and Fellow of BCS. He is the Senior Member of IEEE and ACM. He is the Distinguished Speaker of ACM. He was 2019, 2021 & 2022 recipient of Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher. He has (co)authored over 400 peer-reviewed articles. There are more than 60 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 6 ESI Hot Papers in his (co)authored publications. His citation reached 28912 in Google Scholar (h-index 95). He is the editor of Neural Networks, IEEE TITS, IEEE TCSVT, IEEE JBHI, etc. He has conducted many successful industrial projects and academic grants from NIH, Royal Society, British Council, GCRF, EPSRC, MRC, BBSRC, Hope, and NSFC. He has served as (Co-)Chair for more than 60 international conferences (including more than 20 IEEE or ACM conferences). More than 70 news presses have reported his research outputs, such as Reuters, BBC, Telegraph, Mirror, Physics World, UK Today News, etc.

Prof. Bin Chen

Xi'an Jiaotong University, China

Bio: Professor Chen, the vice director of State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, the candidate of Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University. He was employed by National Maritime Research Institute of Japan as a postdoctoral researcher from 2003 to 2004, he has worked at Xi'an Jiaotong University since 1996, he served as the deputy head of multiphase flows professional group of Society of Fluid Mechanics Branch of China, the member of Society of Chemical Engineering of Japan and the member of Society of Engineering Thermophysics of China. Professor Chen has been working on those fields: fundamentals and basic and theoretical applications research of Multiphase Flow, construction of two-phase turbulence model, unstructured mesh generation technology, the interface capturing algorithm and biomedical Multiphase Flow research.

Prof. Bin Liu

Bio: Bin Liu is a Professor with the School of Software, Dalian University of Technology. He received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the Dalian University of Technology, LiaoNing, China, in 2004. He received the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 2006 and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering in 2009, both from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China. His current research interests include image processing.

Prof. Fangxiang Wu

Bio: Dr Fangxiang Wu is currently a full professor in the Departments of Computer Science, and the College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine/Deep Learning, Computational Biology, Health Informatics, Medical Image Analytics, and Complex Network Analytics. Dr. Wu has published about 350 journal papers and more than 130 conference papers. His total google scholar citations are over 13200, h-index is 60. He is among top 2% world’s scientists ranked by Stanford University. Dr Wu is serving as the editorial board member of several international journals (including IEEE TCBB, Neurocomputing, etc.) and as the guest editor of numerous international journals, and as the program committee chair or member of many international conferences. He is an IEEE senior member.

Prof. Gema Prats Boluda
Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain

Bio: Gema Prats Boluda is a tenured professor at the UPV in the Electronic Engineering Department and a member of the Center for Research and Innovation in Bioengineering (CI2B), UPV. She has worked for over 20 years in the biomedical engineering field, involving sensors & biomedical instrumentation development, biomedical signal processing, and implementation of diagnostic support systems using machine learning. She has participated in 33 research projects, 31 competitive (7, 7 and 17 at the national, regional and local level respectively), being the principal investigator of 10 (2 national, 2 regional and 6 local). The results of these works have given rise to 47 articles in JCR-SCI journals, more than 75 papers in congresses, 3 doctoral theses supervised and 5 in progress, 2 research book chapters in international publishers and 6 research awards. He has directed >50 final degree projects and 15 master's theses.

Prof. Yangchao Chen
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, China

Bio: Prof. CHEN Yangchao is currently a Professor at School of Biomedical Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He obtained his Ph.D. from Sun Yat-sen University in 2003 and later on was trained as a postdoctoral fellow at University of Washington, Seattle. He has been faculty member as Research Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Faculty of Medicine CUHK since 2007. His research interests include epigenetics in cancer, histone modification particularly methylation, long and short non-coding RNAs, development of novel therapeutics for liver and pancreatic cancer. The ultimate goal of his lab is aimed at the identification of novel diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for pancreatic and liver cancer.

Binh Phu NGUYEN
Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand

Bio: I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Data Science at the School of Mathematics and Statistics in Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), New Zealand. Prior to joining VUW in 2018, I was a Scientist at the Institute of High-Performance Computing which is under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. Before that, I worked as a Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and then as a Research Fellow in the Centre for Computational Biology, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NUS. I received my B.Eng. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, where I was also a Lecturer in the School of Information and Communication Technology until 2007.

Types of Submissions

During the submission process, make sure to select one type of submissions from the following 2 options.

Full paper submission	Full paper submissions should be prepared in English (DOC) and formatted according to the formatting instructions in the paper template. Primary screening and peer review will be made. Peer-reviewed accepted and registered papers will be published in conference proceedings. For each accepted paper, at least one author must attend the conference and present the paper. Authors of all accepted papers must prepare a final version for publication, a poster presentation or a short video/live oral presentation.
Abstract submission	Abstract submissions should be prepared in English (DOC or PDF), including Title, Authors, Affiliation(s), Abstract and Keywords. Once approved by the conference committee, the extended abstract can be presented at the conference, but NOT published in proceedings.

Submission Methods

All new manuscripts to BIBE2024 could be submitted directly via Online Submission System. The whole review process may take about 1 month, including first-round comments, authors' modification, further comments and acceptance.
